Mr. Debjit Saha, LL.M., Lecturer-in-Law
He obtained masters degree in law from North Bengal University. He did his extensive work on Environmental law and has worked as a research assistant in the Environmental Law Centre, University of North Bengal, a sister organization of Environmental Law Centre, National Law School, Bangalore. Has submitted a project report on Natural Resource: Conservation, Use and Management in the light of the 73rd Constitutional Amendment. Participated in numerous seminars, symposia and conferences. Worked as a Lecturere-in-law, North Bengal University. His areas of interests are Environmental Law and Constitutional Law.
Mr. Tanmoy Sen, B.Com (H), LL.M., Lecturer-in Law & TEACHER-IN-CHARGE
He obtained masters degree in law from North Bengal University; submitted his dissertation on "Human Rights: the Law and its Enforcement in India" and also did his extensive research work on Consumer Law; presently pursuing Ph.D in Law from Burdwan University and also is associated with the Faculty of Law, Calcutta University. Participated in a number of UGC sponsored national seminars, symposia and conference. A goof number of papers has been published in various National Level Journals, books etc. He has also worked as a lecturer-in-law in Jalpaiguri Law College, Jalpaiguri. His areas of interests are Constitutional Law and Administrative Law.
Mr. Babu Sarkar, LL.M., Lecturer-in-Law
He obtained masters degree in law from North Bengal University; submitted his dissertation on "Human Rights Law and Protection of Civil rights of refugees- an analysis in Indian Perspective" and also did his extensive research work on "Political Participation of Women through reservation". Participated in numerous national seminars, symposia and conferences; worked as a Project Researcher at Rajib Gandhi School of Intelllectual Property Law, IIT, Kharagpur on "Intellectual Property Law and Competition Law and Policy in India". He did his diploma in Software Technology (DTS) from CMC, Siliguri. His areas of interests are Human Rights and International Law, Jurisprudence, Family Law and Law of Evidence.
Mr. Maurya Sarkar, LL.M – Gold Medalist, Lecturer
Mr. Maurya Sarkar is a law graduate from NBU and also was awarded a gold medal by the Governor of West Bengal - Shri Hon’ble M.K.Narayanan for holding the first position in his post graduate law programme. He is presently an advocate practicing in the Supreme Court of India and also involved in various matters before the Calcutta High Court. He is also one of the trustees of SKAIL. His areas of interests are Constitutional Law and Administrative Law.
Miss Tanya Sarkar, LL.M., Director
She has obtained her masters degree from University of Leeds, UK; has submitted dissertation on “SHOULD INDIA INTRODUCE CORPORATE CRIMINAL LIABILITY AND IF SO, WHAT MODEL IT SHOULD ADOPT.” Participated in numerous national and international seminars, symposias and conferences. Has worked for a publication on Intellectual Property laws and Competition laws and also has published articles on various issues. Areas of interest are Corporate Law, Arbitration Law and Intellectual Property rights.
